We love what we do and we (usually!) have fun doing it

Like all great teams ours is made up of many important people who each play a key role in our success. We hope you enjoy meeting them here.
We're also very grateful to several British businesses of varying sizes, who work with us on a number of projects to fill in the gaps with their expertise which has allowed us to grow and grow.
If you'd like to be part of an exciting British company, then email us saying why. Send your message to info@runawaycoast.com and the perfect opportunity just might be around the corner…

Favourite Beach: Aldeburgh, Suffolk early on a Sunday morning before the day has properly started, big sky and no sand.
Favourite Coastal Memory: Watching the RNLI lifeboat launch on their Sunday practice run with my children
Coast Matters?: Why isnt the RNLI government funded as a 4th emergency service?

Favourite Beach: Holkham, Norfolk
Favourite Coastal Memory: Summer holidays on the beach at Thorpness Suffolk, catching jellyfish. Taking an Australian friend to the beach in Aldeburgh and saying: 'here is the beach', and him responding: 'this is a coastline not a beach…'
Coast Matters?: Promote kids' safety on the beach. It's as important as road safety but even though we live on an island the RNLI (who has developed strategies to increase awareness) is still not government funded

Favourite Beach: Weybourne Beach, North Norfolk
Favourite Coastal Memory: Singing and dancing around the campfire on a beach somewhere in Norfolk having sailed there from the Norfolk Broads just after A-levels. Can't remember exactly where it was or how we got there as it was so long ago. But boy was it fun!
Coast Matters?: I'm totally on board with Hugh Fearnley Whittingstall and his Fish Fight. I think it's criminal the amount of fish we're wasting every year by throwing it back in the sea already dead.

Favourite Beach: Blackpool – It's got everything a great beach should and how could you ever top those illuminations?!
Favourite Coastal Memory: Playing in sand dunes with my brothers
Coast Matters?: There should be much easier access to walk all beach paths
|
|
|

|
|
Favourite Beach: Frinton-on-Sea, Essex
Favourite Coastal Memory: My first holiday as a child in Greece playing with my sister
Coast Matters?: Keep our beaches clean

Favourite Beach: Southwold, Suffolk
Favourite Coastal Memory: Aldeburgh, New Years Eve 2008 - a night full of wonderful adventures that included the beach, a boat and a dance in fisherman's shed.
Coast Matters?: A therapeutic and inspirational place of changing beauty.

Favourite Beach: Dumfriesshire, Scotland
Favourite Coastal Memory: Midnight swimming surrounded by the beautiful phosphorescence, then clambering back to a huge bonfire on the beach, wrapped up in warm blankets with a glass of red wine and toasted marshmallows....mmmmm!!
Coast Matters?: Long live the Great British Piers. They are such a huge importance to the start of the British holiday making culture; we need these piers to sustain our tourism to attract people to enjoy the great British coast. They are wonderfully iconic and beautiful, Brighton Pier is for sale.....!!

Favourite Beach: Harlyn Bay in Cornwall. It's where I got engaged.
Favourite Coastal Memory: Other than my engagement of course! On the same beach - The sound of the sea whilst sitting under a beautiful starlit sky, around a campfire, barbecuing with family and friends.
Coast Matters?: Save the Spit. Preserve Orford Ness.

Favourite Beach: Theddlethorpe in Lincolnshire
Favourite Coastal Memory: Riding the donkeys at Mablethorpe and particularly a donkey called Bimbo. At the end of the working day we would see the donkeys trotting home down the High Street to their field to have their tea almost by remote control.
Coast Matters?: Maintaining the quality of our beautiful British coast. In particular those small seaside towns that have over the years become run down but are now thank goodness are making a comeback. These wonderful oasis's of family fun and simple pleasures such as building sand castles and eating egg sandwiches sitting on stripy deckchairs are to be cherished and not allowed to fade away.

Favourite Beach:Aldeburgh, Suffolk (Hardly suprising when she was the Carnival Queen there! - Take a look >>>)
Favourite Coastal Memory:Watching my Dad go out in the lifeboat from Aldeburgh RNLI Station as he was Second Coxswain/ Mechanic and waiting in the shed preparing cups of tea for their return.
Coast Matters?: Strongly against the potential closure of some of the RNLI stations around the British Coast due to financial cuts and supporting our fishing industry.
